Todd Weigand has been flying paragliders since 1996.  Originally from Madras, Oregon, his paragliding passion has taken him around the world many times to find the best flying conditions.  He has been flying in Wallowa County for 17 years and has flown more flights from Mt. Howard than anyone else.  He has also flown the longest and highest flights from Mt. Howard, reaching altitudes of 17,999 feet ASL and landing over 70 miles away at the confluence of the Salmon and South Fork Salmon River in central Idaho.  He was also the first pilot to fly across Hells Canyon, North America's deepest canyon.
